• The 2024 plan is a slight adaptation of a Bible Reading Plan created by Greg Lanier (glanier.wordpress.com). Unlike our previous plans, there is no particular ‘calendar’ for you to follow; rather, it’s a ‘go at your own pace’ approach, which you can start at any time through the year. The plan has 16 sections that frame the whole grand narrative of God’s redemption/salvation of the world. Each section has Old Testament readings in the left column and New Testament passages in the right column that refer to the OT readings or shed light on their fulfillment in Christ.

  • This plan was developed to give the reader a historically chronological journey through the Bible. It’s not the entire Bible, but selected portions, one chapter per day.

  • The goal of this plan is to read the entire New Testament, one chapter a day, over the course of one year. There are a few sections from the Old Testament added in as well that add context to the New Testament readings.

  • Thoughtfully selected readings, one chapter a day, with one day off per week for those who might need a ‘catch up day’ from time to time.

We don’t have to wonder about God’s will for our lives. God still speaks today - primarily through the words of Scripture. We can read it, hear it, know it, even memorize it!
